Copper Thief 03:50
:::COPPER THIEF go where they haven’t yet gone listen to the song that is still unheard blue ridge branches shadowing your eyes when you walk towards the ocean forgetfulness sits down next to her on the bus it blows on her eyes the smell reminds her of rye and we we have come here by mistake we we have come here by mistake how do we, how do we how do we, how do we how do we get out got to give what was never given with heavy winds he stormed throught our town mountain maker, take him with you who is going to live there now she cut across the field to find to find the land drawing transparent walls trying to make the angles how I think you’d prefer them it became stigmatic nothing was received on my end I was in a back seat on your birthday I wept tucked in by light The hollow go me dancing Thank you lion and we we have come here by mistake we we have come here by mistake how do we, how do we how do we, how do we how do we get out
3.
:::RECORDING OF A DREAM I have no sense of time Nor direction or space A dream keeps me awake But it’s not the right kind I pass my days in unmade beds Always on the wrong side of town I fall back into you Every time Fall too far away from home And that’s all the time The ink dries on a paper Soon to be taken by your eyes And the whole world Is holding its breath I wont expect you to understand But it’s how I feel And tonight i might even call you up Just to get your machine The recording of a dream
4.
:::THE YEARS I SPENT PUNKROCKING I, I swallow the ocean You, you’ve come to the right place The days are but feathers now, laid out like velvet sheets on my skyline Reach your hand out the window, scratch the surface and you’ll see the heart beating away, up and down the hills upon the rails Someone should take me across I want it to be you When we run out of lies I want it to be you These are the famous corners Flowers hidden i gray braids See, the Diamond is still here: ’Strike, Resist, Occupy Everything’ I want it to be you When we run out of lies I want it to be you Someone should take me across I want it to be you When we run out of lies I want it to be you
5.
Redwood 04:21
:::REDWOOD Won’t love again But I’ll say I did I hope you find me Wouldn’t last here Low down nights Never long enough Lights never bright enough Year eleven And the first belongs to you Don’t I know You wouldn’t like that Because you’re not like that And I can’t tell Tell them about you So I keep giving you names Haven’t said no for so long Wouldn’t know where to start Nights that I used to sleep through We awake on different mornings Nine hours apart
6.
Blueprints 04:03
:::BLUEPRINTS Encoded blueprints on the palm of your hand Retracing your lifeline back to when you lived in Spain I’ve been up all night trying to figure out when yours crossed mine I’ve been up all night With a theory I call You and I You and I collide in the dark Who am I to confide with it all It was so hard for one part Now I can’t stop feeling lost I hope you’ll be saved
7.
:::SUGAR FACTORY A whiter shade of pale Blasting from the old speakers of a rental van As we passed by McCarren Park at night The warm spring sun setting on The abanboned sugar factory And I took your hand in mine If this ain’t love dont think I’ll ever find it On a JMZ train across the old east river to the bowery stop The day after I fell into your eys You asked me what if this is wrong It ain’t if you feel like it So I took her hand in mine If this is love I hope I never lose it Its funny how things must come to and end And its funny how i always seem to rush them there Its funny how things must come to and end And its funny how i always seem to rush them there
8.
Scarlet 03:29
:::SCARLET Wait for the morning you Now you are talking to loud Head for the wall of youth And dance with them all You’re never alone And i waited too For the man in me And you what can you do With the light in me So don’t come closer now We made it all new And i fear that you’re mine You made all the loving you see And now you lean on light You lean on light And I waited too For the man in me And you what can you do With the light in me I see it now I see it coming down The boy you knew had war Inside his palms And then you came along And he would disappear For weeks and months He said Best is for the bliss The best is for the bliss
9.
Asleep 03:02
:::ASLEEP Falling asleep with the last word in the world And waking up with the first Knowing this is where You always want to belong When they’re coming from her mouth It’s when you realize You’re no longer alone Ooh I must have passed out Before you said goodnight Must have still been asleep When you said good morning
10.
Halo Heart 05:02
:::Halo Heart Now draw the lines Halo heart hear the sound Retrace those butterflies Don’t let me fall asleep Watery eyes fixed on every move It’s tattooed on your lips No need to be talked to Youthful morning Listen, Austin I woke and I wanted You I won’t complete Halo heart I hope you stay long enough I hope you laugh loud enough I will make my way back I I waited for the man to arrive And I fear that he chose you Light there was subtetly in all your moves And I hope it will get you through And who Who would believe if I’d show them What I’ve seen What would they make of it Of this man they all knew Gave a name, made their own Will we get the last saying before they see Glistening porches where I join you again Inside the trees the glow, the night, the dusk Halo Heart draw the lines So that we might rise again Before I forget we met This could have mended our heart Inside our beat-up cars When we sang miles and miles apart Halo Heart draw the lines So that we might rise again Before I forget we met

about

Case Conrad's second LP featuring singles "Lonelylightlylowshine" and "Copper Thief". Includes bonus material such as album artwork, band photos and a take-away video of the song Sugar Factory.

Swedish band Case Conrad’s new album LEIKKO brings together the talents of Gustav Haggren (of Gustav and the Seasick Sailors), Robert Johansson (Tarantula Waltz) and Per Henrik Adolfsson (The Last of the Julian Line), Vasco Batista (Big Summer, King of Prussia) and Petter Bengtsson (Shooting John) for the first time. This remarkable collaboration sees these artists reach new heights in their creativity.

LEIKKO features the catchy rhythms and clever pop hooks of previous album DEW POINT, but possesses hints of stadium greatness with its poppy echoing drumbeats, dreamy synth sounds and Robert Johansson’s guitar which provide a distinctive backdrop of desert surf psychedelia.

After a one year long tour in Europe and USA 2010/2011, the Swedes emigrated to Barcelona to record their new album, LEIKKO. Recorded over a year in ten different locations it was finally sent to Cristoffer Roth at Dubious Studios (The Concretes, Moneybrother) for mixing.

The songs featured on the album describes the locations and the people that the band met during their DIY-tours after the release of their debut album: from copper thieves of New York to the poets of New Orleans, from bonfires in Louisiana to houseboats in Hamburg.

One of the album’s unique features is the fact that there are not one but two lead vocalists, with an effective contrast of Haggren’s reverberating falsetto tones with Adolfsson’s lower-pitched whispering sound.
